Wow... we're already in the final week of the 2nd to last month of the year... did it seem like the Fall moved too fast for anyone else? ... sigh, so many ideas, goals, and desires left unfulfilled after so many times... but today is not the day to look and regret of not reaching high reach goals that we tend to let ourselves THINK we can do, but rather what we have already done and what we have already.
And while my first contest that I have hosted on my own was less than what I was expecting, I am grateful to those who did participate and showed how much they did enjoyed the DC material before the reboot.
And while we're on the comics: That issue of Harley Quin, the one that came AFTER she blew up kids on her birthday literally ON 9/11 and will have trying to commit suicide? Well.. it came out last week... and they changed the part of last panel of her naked in a tub trying to electrocute herself. I've bought or read it well enough (it was one of those meta comics where the art changes every page). That's something to be grateful about... though it brought on like the lifted restrictions on the X-Box One after E3 (and it's already the new #1 console of the new gen games, go fig).
WB/CN has dropped some promising new shows, while pushing more toy centered or crazy shows that are not as good, while still making half bake direct to video movies with fully featured DVDs while the older stuff just gets printed on DVD-R material with little to nothing in volumes that take ALONG time to actually release.... But the Hub has brought back classic Tiny Toons and Animanics again: so their hope we may actually see some old 90s WB animated shows on TV, that something to grateful for even if you can't have the DVDs of the show.
Now that I got my materialism out of the way, we can move onto the REAL stuff that matters in life.
I know some of my friends on here had plans, like making a regular schedule online comic series, but due to HIS hectic scheduling from work and family, he is WAY behind than what he intended to do. But he has done what he can with his drawings, and has made some of his friends and fans happy by just that.
I also have an online friend who has suffered some major loses in her life this year, loosing loves ones dear to her. She also happened to spent Thanksgiving alone due to being sick too. I also had the horrible "Bad Timing Bug" too: Twice on my birthdays (one on the year that Disney allows free enter on your birthday) and once on Christmas (though I think that may have been too many sweets and such). While I am sure I can do little for her, she has shown to give love to those who do care.
I also kinda face had to face with some personal issues with how and who I consider online friends are this year too. Some of the people I doubted actually surprise me in a nice way, while others... met my low standards... but I am still giving them the end of the year to try to turn it around.
Till then: I hope everyone will enjoy their leftovers and savor the pie. We have one month to go before we start ALL OVER AGAIN with 2014.
