Yeah, just saw the latest issue of "Scooby Doo Apocalypse" that came out yesterday and with "Scrappy Doo"'s story arc... looks like they're going the same route as the live action movie Scrappy.... unless they're planing a big twist for that part of the comic, I don't think it will be any good.
Ever since that live action "knock-off" of Zombie Island (a knock off being more expansive and bigger release than the animated tv/DTV movie), they broke the silence of Scrappy Doo and pretty much bring him up just to take cheap shots to the pup throughout the franchise... and I am not okay with that.
It's fine with making fun of Scrappy OUTSIDE of the franchise, but when it actually happens in the Scooby Doo show/movie; it makes Scooby and Gang pretty much... well, like those live action jerk takes of them.
I mean, when it comes down to it: What made Scrappy Doo annoying? That he was a ego-eccentric sociopath with a megalomaniac's Napoleon Complex? No. He was just a kid who talks too much, stepped on Mystery Inc's lines, and runs into danger. That's it. That doesn't earn him the level of Jar Jar Hate (That belongs to the Boo Brothers. Remember them? No? GOOD!) At worst, he was just the tip of the iceberg of bad dieas that Scooby Doo had to go through...
And considering how it is considered that Scrappy Doo technically helped the franchise to boost ratings back when it was at the lowest... it is sad that puppy gets so much hate... Yeah. Scrappy Doo was once popular and help the franchise and is now considered a joke and stain on television history... he is pretty much the ORIGINAL Bojack Horseman! Think about THAT!
Okay... think I got all that out..... I just finally saw the new Ghostbusters movie onDemand, which meant I could finally watch the Nostalgia Critic's "review" of it. Fandoms really need to learn to give up their hate. I mean, even the people who hate Slimmer actually DO like him when he was used right....
I use this picture because I find it odd that the writers for The Simpsons seem to hold as much contempt for Bart (and to Seymour Skinner as well) as Scooby Doo fans have for Scrappy... PS: Remember that Poochie could have been better if he was actually made and use right. A Lesson nobody wants to learn or accept for somethings

I don’t mind Scrappy personally though I do find him easy to make fun of.
