SilverZeo's Classic DC Comics Contest

Okay, it’s been roughly about 2 years since DC Comic performed their reboot, taking away everything we know and love about the characters, and giving back rather less than decent stories about them, as well as some ideas, promotions, and statements that seemed to insult the fans more than they should.
It’s kinda sad that a company that give us so much, not only in terms of comics, but with shows and movies as well, only to take it all away and give it back as something that is pretty much less than what people loved and remembered about.
After hearing the new of Harley Quin’s less than… dignified artist contest, as well as a rather “wrong” origin story that had her blow up kids across Gotham City in an issue that was released on 9/11, which is also Harley’s actual “birthday”… It made me went back to some of the GOOD stuff from the Batman Animated Series…
And then I thought, other people must feel the same about the reboot. Mr. Freeze and Nora’s tragic story of love and death has basically been summed up as just another creepy villain aspect to raise an “ick” factor, Lobo not only being taken MORE seriously, but getting a new look to be just a “pretty boy”…. And then you have the stuff BEFORE the reboot that pretty much ruined the DC franchise: Countdown to Final Crisis, Cry For Justice, Wonder Dog mauling Marvin from the Super Friends to death…Those alone would bother even the newest of fans to suffer….
So then I came up with an idea to try to keep the good aspects of DC before the reboot… have a contest for the artists here on Deviant art to help capture their favorite moments of the series they love.
The prizes are basic:
1st prize winner gets $50 via paypal/ DA points
2nd prize $30 via paypal/ DA points
3rd gets 3 months of premium member of DA.

Here are the rules.

1. I will accept any kind of picture. Sketch, colored, or photograph made and posted beyond this announcement that at least captures a moment or the basic concepts of a DC comic or character, it can’t just be one character standing in a generic pose in a costume that you like  with nothing going on. It can be captured scene of something, a group picture, or even a montage to display characteristics or personal history.
2. You can use any material that is published or given official proper use of DC characters (like a DC vs. Marvel scene or Batman with Hellboy) ranging from the Golden Age of comics to the reboot (though you can use material from comics that are NOT part of the DCnU, like the Batman Beyond Universe), including animated series (as well as the comics based on them), tv show,  DC nation shorts, video games, and tv/DTV movies. I’m not including theatrical movies because they have a larger audience demographic who know the material, this contest is for the lesser known material. All entries must be based on cannon material, fanon material (like non official crossovers or pairings) or parody knockoffs are not to be accepted.
3. I will not accept traced and pirated work, same goes for over us of official work in entries. I will also NOT accept work that has been commissioned by one person and done by another.
4. Comic based entries must be at least one page standard of an actual comic book page.
5. Entries with content of extreme gore, violence or nudity must be tastefully censored and warned (we have been getting too much of that stuff in the mainstream universe so far).
6. Entries must be official DC Material. No Wildstorm, Veritgo or such unless that have official connection to a DC book or character.
7. A user can enter at least 2 pictures max. To enter,  send a link to your entry in this journal  via comments
8. The contest will be open from now  till November 23 11:59 EST time. All entries must be turned in at that time, late entries will not be permitted.
